• Reundant and hot swap RAID controllers that stay constantly synchronized using dedicated SAS conections; redundant and hot swao disk drives, power supplies and cooling systems, represent the first teir of protection against unavailable data.



• RAID controller cache is battery-backed to ensure against data loss in the event of a power failure. And since redundancy enhances data availability, each battery-backed RAID controller has two connections to the SAN to further ensure non-stop access.



• Hardware-accelerated RAID 6 preserves data intergrity and non-stop access to data without reducing performance, should more than one disk drive in a RAID set fail.



• Ultamus RAID Path Manager completes Overland's teired approach to high availability by automatically anddynamically switching application data access from a failed path to a working, redundant path, regardless of the failing SAN component.

Single Pane of Glass Management

The Ultamus RAID Manager offers simple, intuitive, web-based "single pane of glass" setup, configuration and management for all your Ultamus RAID products, whereever in the world they may be located. In addition, Ultamus RAID offers SNMP and SMI-S capabilities for easy intergration into existing enterprise management frameworks.

Ultamus RAID supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and the new, ultra-high availability RAID 6. RAID 6 ensures data integrity even if two drives fail simultaneously in the same RAID set.
