The DPM5500 builds upon the Microsoft Data Protection Manager
2006 value proposition through a sophisticated, yet easy-to-implement
5U (rack-unit) appliance with a choice of 4.8 or 9.6 terabyte
capacity and RAID 5 protection. The appliance can be easily
integrated into the network via dual Gigabit Ethernet ports
and TOE (TCP/IP offload engine) capabilities. Enterprise-class
features such as redundant and hot-swappable fans, hot-swap
disk drives and redundant power offer high availability. By
offering these features within an appliance, Quantum alleviates
the guesswork and time involved by customers in building a
system from disparate pieces.
