SmartStor Jukeman is an optimized file
system for jukeboxes, towers and drives. It presents all discs
in a single configurable file system through the NFS (Network File
System) protocol and, for Windows NT, as a native file system.
Flexible
SmartStor Jukeman provides multi-platform
server support across Windows NT, SunOS, Solaris, IBM AIX, HP-UX,
and SGI IRIX, and is network topology independent. iXOS-JUKEMAN
supports a wide range of Jukeboxes,
CD Changers and CD
Recorders. In addition, SmartStor Jukeman is the only CD
management product that supports both single and multi-track writing
to give you the flexibility you need.
Easy To Manage
SmartStor Jukeman can be installed and operational in just
one hour thanks to: 1) it's easy-to-use graphical user interface;
2)the presentation of CD's and devices as part of the native file
system; and 3) complete native file system security support.
In addition, configuration can be done "on-the-fly"
without any down time!
Cost Effective
With unlimited user access, pricing based on capacity, and no
third party databases or client software license requirement,
SmartStor Jukeman has the lowest per CD cost in the industry.
Transparent Network Support
SmartStor Jukeman provides access from multiple
platforms, across both UNIX and NT networks, by presenting the media
as either a Windows file system on a network drive or UNIX NFS file
system.
High Performance
SmartStor Jukemancontains multi-threaded device
management, multiple SCSI bus connections, high speed disk caching,
and intelligent scheduling to ensure fast access and high
availability. The scheduler provides optimal response times by
analyzing CD access, reordering requests, minimizing disk moves and
even selecting the fastest available device for each request.
Consistently Updated Device Support
SmartStor Software consistently updates device
support for the newest models from all major manufacturers while
maintaining backward compatibility.
"Drag & Drop" File Packaging
Users can package files for CD
"burning" by just dragging files from their system and
dropping them into a platter directory. SmartStor Jukeman directs
these files to a cache, and writes them to the CD as the cache is
filled. The files can be retrieved even before the CD has been
burned.
Open
SmartStor Jukeman provides full support for ISO
9660, High Sierra and Rock Ridge extensions (including long file
names), and comes with a fully documented RPC-API interface for
custom integration and administration.
