VXA™-1 tape technology is designed for 100% reliable restore. VXA's reliability is built on its patented packet technology. It is the first tape drive to format data the same way it's done on the Internet. As a result, VXA is an extremely secure way to store, archive, retrieve, and exchange data.

At 33 GB native, the VXA-1 gives you enough affordable capacity for your multi-gigabyte workstation or network server. Its 3 MB per second transfer rate means your backups will get done in time. And it's loaded with high-end features to help you feel safe about your data, like hardware compression, error correction, and read-after-write.

VXA-1 drives are available with your choice of SCSI, FireWire, or IDE interface. And VXA is practically plug-and-play with every major operating system, including Microsoft™ Windows, Linux, MacOS, Novell Netware, and most flavors of Unix. It is also supported by most popular backup applications.
