As capacity needs change, additional modules can be added by utilizing Quantum’s StackLink™ Pass-Through System. With StackLink, the M1500 can seamlessly intermix with other M-Series models such as the M1800 and the M2500 tape libraries to accommodate up to 20 drives and 250 cartridges.

With its modular scalability and powerful and reliable management capabilities, the M1500 is a logical step up in your automated backup plan. Available in desktop or rackmount configurations, the M1500 will easily install and integrate into your existing environment. With several redundant, hot–swappable components – plus a user-friendly GUI, the M1500 was designed to be online and to stay online.

The M1500 basic configuration supports up to two drives and 25 cartridge slots. Utilizing the M1500’s modular scalability, up to 20 drives and 250 cartridge slots can be added as needed. The M1500s native backup performance is up to 576GB/hr. The M1500 supports SDLT 320, SDLT 600, LTO-1, LTO-2 and LTO-3 drive formats.
